 Synthesis of Nanomaterials and their application in electrocatalysis

研究の背景 Background

Nowadays, searching for clean energy becomes an important issue that millions are invested to search for efficient and clean energy sources. Hydrogen has become one of the most explored energy generation and storage vehicles due to its clean byproduct after consumption. Therefore, developing a highly efficient and low-cost method for hydrogen production become paramount in pushing the hydrogen economy forward. One of most studied directions is water splitting by electrocatalysis which can potentially be empowered by sustainable energy.

研究の目標 Outcome

We aim at developing novel method for nanomaterial synthesis and studying their application in electrocatalysis for water splitting. Through control in composition, morphology, crystal phase etc., low cost, highly efficient and highly stable nanomaterial-based electrocatalyst for water splitting will be researched and pave way for further development.
