Development of Functional Bulk Ceramics Using Liquid Phase Reaction Field

研究の背景 Background


Bulk ceramics are positioned as a fundamental technology in the industry and are attracting attention as a next-generation alternative to metallic materials. Bulk ceramics are increasingly used in the aircraft and nuclear industries, where they are subjected to extreme environments. In order to meet social demands such as energy needs, there is an urgent need to develop new materials that are not only strong but also functional.

研究の目標 Outcome


Addressing bulk ceramics production limitations, we're exploring low-temperature sintering. Liquid-phase reactions allow nanoparticle synthesis, morphology control, and metastable phase creation. Combining these, we aim to create advanced ceramics, blending functionality, strength, and novel properties.
